What I Used to Do

The Terwilliger's

My father's mother and father were both dead well before I was born.  His dad, Fay, died when he was only 42 years old of cancer.  His mother, Stella,  died at 68. My grandfather Fay kept daily diaries from 1903 through 1919.  I have transcribed them and will have all of them available through this site as I get them ready.  My grandmother's maiden name was Beggs.

The Carlson's

My mother's grandmother and grandfather, John and Matilda came from Sweden and settled on a 320 acre farm west of DeKalb, Il.  My grandmother, Bertha Derix, married my grandfather, Art.  They tenant farmed for several years and then moved to DeKalb where my grandpa was a plumber for Northern Illinois University.
